The Junior Program has been designed to offer encouragement to youngsters who wish to improve their tennis skills through practice. The curriculum emphasizes learning through stroke production, competition, games, and an abundance of FUN! Skill Achievement Tests promise students the opportunity to evaluate their improvement while winning certificates, ribbons, medals, and trophies for their achievements. Classes are grouped by ages and ability level and are designed to meet the needs for all levels of play.
After School Schedule – All participants require Annual Youth Tennis Membership
Little Tennis Ages 5, 6, 7 Mon. & Thurs. 4:30-5:30 p.m.
BEGINNER LEVEL
This class will introduce children to tennis with basic stokes, drills to build hand-eye coordination and lots of fun and games.
Future Stars Ages 8, 9, 10 Mon. & Thurs. 4:30-5:30 p.m.
BEGINNER LEVEL
No previous instruction is needed. Emphasis on basic strokes, scoring and fun games.
Super Stars Ages 10, 11, 12 Mon. & Thurs. 5:30-7:00 p.m.
BEGINNER LEVEL
Little or no previous instruction is necessary. Emphasis on stroke production, serving, scoring, introduction to hitting spins, and point play.
Tournament Stars Intermediate Level Mon. & Thurs. 5:30-7:00 p.m.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
This class covers strokes, strategies, and match play. Members of this class are encouraged to play the Central Texas Junior Grand Prix Circuit and ZAT tournaments for development. Class designed for Jr. High and above level players.
Elite Team Invitation Only TBA
The Elite Team is a comprehensive tournament player training program and is our top class in the WRTC program. Players in this group are selected on tournament experience, attitude, discipline, and work ethic.
