Mike
Doty, USPTA-General Manager and Director of Tennis at Waco Regional
Tennis & Fitness was named the 2007 National Facility Manager of the Year. Texas Facility Manager of the Year in 2006 along with USPTA Texas Professional
of the Year in 1999 and the Houston Professional of the Year in
2000. He currently sits on the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame Mueum
Board of Directors. Doty is past National Nominating Chair
for U.S. Professional Tennis Association and serves on the Nominating
Committee for the USTA-Texas Section. A past member of the
USPTA National Executive Committee representing more than 14,000
teaching tennis professional across the nation, he also a past President
of the USPTA-Texas Division.
Julien
Curatella hails from France and has experience in private and group
lessons, junior development, pro shop operations and tournament
organization. He played college tennis at Auburn University
and Abilene Christian University. He was ranked as high as sixth
in the nation at NCAA II. Curatella was named 2002-2003 ITA
Player of the Year. He has a degree in business management
from Abilene Christian Universtiy.
Jason Carver has been a
staff pro at Waco Regional Tennis Center since it opened.
He represented the U.S. Amateur players in the European Community
Championships in Antwerp, Belgium during the summer of 1996.
Also in 1996 he was certified by the USPTA. Formerly he was
assistant pro at Bentwood Country Club San Angelo and Head Pro of
the Community Tennis Association and Director of Adult Tennis Clinics
for the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels. Caver
took a three month promotional tennis teaching tour through Mexico
for the Newcombe Ranch and also spent a summer teaching tennis at
the University of Malay in Kuala Lumpar and giving coaching seminars
to Malaysian tennis coaches. Carver is also a licensed Bapist
minister.
