WRT&F reserves the right to change the exercise class schedule at any time. This includes the changes in instructors, class times and length of classes. Please do not enter a studio before the current class is completed.

 


Class Descriptions


The Waco Regional Tennis & Fitness Center offers a variety of group fitness and aerobics classes to “Members Only”.

Spinning: The ultimate indoor cycling challenge designed to simulate a variety of terrain and training techniques guaranteed to get your heart pumpin’ and your legs churnin’! The energy and enthusiasm is contagious! So sit back, hang on and enjoy the ride to great tunes along side great comrades! All levels … First timers come 10 minutes early and inform instructor.

Turbokick: No equipment needed! Turbokick is the ultimate cardiovascular challenge complete with Muay-Thai sport specific warmups/cool-downs, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations and kickboxing specific strength/endurance training.

BODYPUMP: The fastest way to shape up and lose body fat! BodyPump is a toning and conditioning class with weights and is for just about everybody. It's perfect for both males and females who want to add strength training into their aerobic workout. The simplicity of the class makes BodyPump a great starting point to develop strength and confidence.

Step Connection: High energy aerobic training happens through a dynamic combination of high-intensity movements and power building plyometrics on the step using a format that emphasizes cardiovascular training. Up-beat music makes the intense workout both functional and fun. Multiple steps may be incorporated for travel combos and variety of movements off the step.

Power Yoga: Based on the classical and original system called ashtanga, Power Yoga is a complete mind and body workout that develops concentration and reduces stress. With its focus on mindful breathing and body heat, Power Yoga goes beyond the relaxation benefits of traditional yoga to offer a route to health and fitness that athletes of all levels will embrace.

Washboard Abs: Improve the integrity of your trunk! This 15 minute class is all about abdominals and lower back.

Body Shaping: A full body toning class utilizing weights, resistance bands, stability balls and more to challenge your muscles and increase strength while conditioning the entire body.

Pilates: Connect yourself with your inner strength while improving posture and joint mobility. This class focuses on stabilization of the torso; recruiting abdominal muscles and transferring that energy to innervate and strengthen the limbs through a series of movements that will both challenge you physically and mentally. Based on deep diaphragmatic breathing techniques and precision and flow of physical movements helps to increase muscle stamina and develop a strong foundation to rebalance the rest of the body.

Stretch/Relax: Stretch focuses on lengthening of the muscles and core stability. Relax is a yoga inspired relaxation technique with emphasis on releasing the tension in muscles and breathing.

Boot Camp: Burn fat and improve cardiovascular fitness! Boot Camp is a workout focused on burning calories through heart rate training. This class incorporates agility movements, cardio conditioning, and strength training to work your body to the maximum and boost that metabolism.

Cardio Interval: Tone up and shape up! This class is energizing and will get you moving. You will move from cardio machines to cardio exercises with ease and feel the burn. Trim those extra pounds while having fun!
